The Pihenősziget was dreamed up for special needs children

I have come into contact with the Pihenősziget in Szolnok and the dreamer of this wonderful place several times. Using Ágnes Kiss’s words, I can boldly refer to children with disabilities and special needs as “kacifántos” (quirky/special). It’s a fitting description that encompasses all the difficulties, beauty, and peculiarities. In this institution, professionals take care of such special children on weekends. It was a joy to hear that news of their cause has crossed county borders and many have joined forces to ensure their operation.
