From 2023, we operate in Szolnok.
In the past year, the Szolnok Subregional Multipurpose Association Human Service Center‘s daycare for people with disabilities expanded with an additional site, where they provide care for persons with severe, multiple disabilities on weekdays, and they are still accepting new applicants there. hn
We were given two large, bright rooms, a dining area, a kitchen, and an accessible bathroom in this wonderful building.
The entire building is accessible and meets the needs of every spirited child and child with disabilities. ❤️
I’m very grateful to MP Dr. Mária Kállai, Mayor Ferenc Szalay, Chief Notary Dr. Ildikó Sebestyén, Deputy Notary Dr. Éva Versitz, Anita Hegyi, Director of the Szolnok Micro-region Multi-purpose Association’s Human Service Center, and Ildikó Gyuricza-Vincze, Head of the Social and Integration Department.
Without their help and permission, we wouldn’t have been able to move to Szolnok. ❤️
In a supportive environment, qualified caregivers look after your disabled child.
We provide full care, including qualified caregivers, for children with complex needs, so that you or you both can go away for a few days alone or as a couple to recharge during the daily struggles.
We established the Resting Island for children with disabilities in Szolnok starting from 2023.
A place where they undertake the supervision and development of children with disabilities from Friday to Sunday.

Your child is in expert hands.
At the Resting Island, special education teachers, conductors, speech therapists, and teaching assistants work, most of them former or current staff of the Liget Street Unified Special Education Methodological Institution in Szolnok. On the designated weekends, they undertake the supervision and development of children with disabilities coming from any part of the country. This can be children with physical or intellectual disabilities, epilepsy, autism, or even Down syndrome.

We are very happy that we found the Pihenősziget! We are grateful to Ágnes Kiss and her team, who sensed the great need for the family members raising a severely disabled child to have some distance from time to time. As the years go by, the physical and mental fatigue and exhaustion become greater, but this is becoming less and less possible. Even in a loving family, fewer and fewer family members can take on the care of a growing child who requires full-time care, which typically falls more and more on the mother, on me. And in me, the frustration grows that my healthy children grow up unnoticed and almost without me. Pihenőszget provided me and us with a much-needed break from this great burden, when I could also focus on my healthy children, like in a healthy family. Thank you for this much-needed venture! The Pihenősziget is a great place, the best proof of which is that my child packs their suitcase because they want to go there. For me, it is very important that I know them to be safe, while they gain new experiences and get a little out of their home environment. Thank you for being there! 🥰
